The staff is always great, but there are some opportunity areas the hotel can work on. Starting by solving the water leaks in the ceiling, the rust in some of the rooms, improving the elevators and fixing the telephone wires/lines. Nevertheless the experience is good enough to rate it as 4 stars. Restaurants are great, food is awesome, service in bars is also nice, but the decoration and the atmosphere could be a hundred times better. You need to redecorate and remodel some areas to keep competing with the other hotels nearby. Plus: They gave us a room upgrade as a courtesy for being a loyal customer.

I stayed at this hidden gem from April 6th to 12th. I've stayed at many of the surrounding 5 stars, in fact my daughter was made at the hard Rock 3 doors down, this place was fantastic! If you are looking for 1000 count Egyptian cotton sheets, gourmet food and fellow pretentious guests, this one isn't for you. If, however, you are looking for a fantastic location and endless drinks, served by some of the absolute best, most friendly, hardest working people in Cancun, then you have found the place to be. Great price. Great service. Great times! Special shout out to Perfecto, Carmen (seniorita) and Jose. You guys made the trip that much better. Thank-you so much!

We’ve had a great stay at this hotel. The food has been amazing, always a delicious spread of fresh hot and cold food available at the buffet for breakfast and lunch. The choice of various restaurants each evening is great, all are delicious and have great atmospheres and views and food. There is also a mix of snack bars available during the day that offer burgers, chicken, crepes etc and the bar is great. The staff are what really makes this place so special. The staff here are AMAZING and really are the backbone of this place. Our drink cups are always full, the food service provided by them all is second to none, they all work so hard and deserve recognition for all their efforts, they are what makes this hotel 5*. I was sad to read some reviews saying that they striked because the owner didn’t pay them, whatever they are being paid isn’t enough because they are AMAZING! Anything we needed, they provided for us. Housekeeping left our room fresh and clean every single day, everyone is friendly and says hello whenever you walk past. They really are a special group of people and make this place amazing. Some reviews say the place is dated, the foyer is glorious and I don’t think the hotel is dated at all, perhaps a lick of paint but that stuff doesn’t bother us, our room was clean and bright, everything works and the staff and facilities are amazing. The pool is clean, never so much as a bug in it, fresh towels, drinks whenever you need, jacuzzi overlooking the beach. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat if we were returning to Cancun. Ideal location, you walk outside and you’re on the beach, it’s clean, lots of activities like water aerobics and yoga. Really is a fantastic place to stay.

This is my favorite dive bar ! I love the staff and food. Smaller resort, friendly people. Hasn't been updated in years but its clean. If you're looking for high end this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a good time, good food, and bartenders that make sure your drink never empties...check them out.

My daughter and I were there November 16-23, 2024. It was her Christmas present to me the year before. After reading the reviews, I had to put my 2 cents in. We originally were on the 4th floor, but our AC didn’t cool much so they moved us to the 1st floor. Customer service was exceptional. Food was good and there was plenty of it. It does need some updates, but I feel like we got our moneys worth. Never had to wait long for room service. All we had to do was ask and we got extra towels. On the 21st, I got injured when a wave hit me in the side of my leg. It ended up ending my vacation, but we were there for another full day and a half. I couldn’t get out of my wheelchair that they let us keep in the room. Ended up when I came home, found out I had broke my tibial plateau. Room service took good care of us those last 2 days. No complaints at all. I wish I could thank the two lifeguards for literally carrying me up the beach and pushing me up the ramp to get back to our room. (I am a larger woman) They deserved a medal. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation. We knew we weren’t staying a the Ritz Carlton. I would love to return some day…just would never again get in the ocean…I’ll stick to the pool, which is wonderful!!

I'm grateful for the pleasant and hard-working staff who made our stay very comfortable, more than typical American hotels. This isn't high luxury, but I appreciated the laid-back atmosphere. Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Easy access to amenities in town. Beautiful beach access, and we saw police monitoring the area several times. Felt very safe here, which made it easy to relax. I heard they are under new management, and I could observe their efforts.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great time, the beach was very nice and clean at the time, the restaurantes were the best especially de old barn, but the top luxury rooms which we had were very warm and the air conditioner could cool it down enough, so I would recommend getting a room closer to the bottom at least in hot seasons

It’s not the ritz Carlton.. but it’s a lot of bang for your buck.. and it’s very reasonably priced…at least for me when I booked a stay….no complaints here… Balling on a budget… that’s totally worth it.. I think you will love it.. don’t forget to tip… these people do an awesome job.
